About:

This 3-in-1 Ensemble is the result of 3 years of exploration, with over 35 design iterations and testing multiple puzzles. I began creating puzzles in 2020 to share my art in a more experiential way, inviting my patrons to walk through my artistic process of creating them bit by bit. Initially, I tested around 50 combinations, experimenting with artwork, size, and piece count. Through this process, I learned what worked well, and what didn’t work—like eliminating the artworks that didn’t translate well into puzzles or the sizes that made artworks blurry, making the puzzle pieces less enjoyable to work with.

By March 2024, I had gathered much feedback from friends and early customers and decided to kick it up a notch. I wanted to create something where both the art and the puzzle were designed specifically for a 'Play and Display' experience. The concept brought together 3 elements: a new hand-drawn artwork, a reimagined puzzle-making experience, and a finished puzzle that could easily be framed for display. I ran a poll on my Instagram to see what visually resonated with my patrons, and to my surprise, the response was great.

For the following 3 months, I went back and forth between hand drawing an artwork, getting the puzzle made, and testing for difficulty, time, and size, and going back to the drawing board to make changes—just like in my experience design work, constantly testing and improving. The result is this 3-in-1 Ensemble that adorns my own living room wall.
